History
MIOSIS is the result of a 1989 joint venture between two companies, Aylmer Optometry Clinic (Michaud &Verrette since 1981) and the Outaouais Optometry Clinic (Laliberté, Bessette & Ass since 1965) . The Outaouais Optometry Clinic experienced significant growth in the eighties after adding an office at Place du Portage (Phase IV) in 1985 and in Buckingham in 1988. In 1990, the company aquired an office on Greber Blvd in Gatineau. In the fall of 1995, the company adopted its current name, MIOSIS. This was a real stepping stone toward a constant growth that continues today. The Place Cartier clinic and the Gatineau clinic moved to their present locations in 1997. Currently, the company has 11 optometrists, including 4 partners : Drs Sylvain Michaud, Micheline Verrette, Marc La Salle and Sheila Laplante.

The MIOSIS team is comprised of 11 optometrists, 30 optometric assistants, 2 technicians and 2 executive assistants across 4 different clinics.
